Gregory Hemker, President

Mr. Hemker is one of the founders of EHS Technology Group, LLC. He has over 40 years of experience in environmental engineering and management. Mr. Hemker obtained a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). His principle fields of expertise are air pollution, hazardous waste, and hazardous chemical management. He has conducted numerous environmental management training seminars throughout the U.S. and China.
In recent years Mr. Hemker has focused on consulting with manufacturing industries to solve problems associated with air pollution, water pollution, hazardous waste, oil and chemical spill prevention, chemical safety, and industrial hygiene. Mr. Hemker is a RAB trained lead auditor and has been developing and implementing ISO 14001, 9001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems since the adoption of the Standards.
Beatrice Cook, Office Manager

Ms. Cook is responsible for management of EHS's daily operations. Key functions include: accounts payable/accounts receivable activities, human resources and benefits administration, billing, payroll, and financial reporting.
Eric Harper, Manager, Process Safety

Mr. Harper is the Manager of Process Safety for EHS. He has over 15 years of experience in the field of environmental health, safety engineering and management. Prior to joining EHS Technology, Mr. Harper was responsible for managing the environmental health and safety program for two manufacturing facilities in the automotive industry. In this capacity, Mr. Harper was responsible for managing the regulatory compliance, worker’s compensation, and various risk management activities for his company.
During his time in private industry, he developed and implemented numerous safety programs and injury reduction initiatives. In addition, he has developed and conducted various safety training classes on a wide range of topics. Mr. Harper received a Bachelor of Science, Industrial Hygiene from Ohio University. He is both a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
Stephanie Madden, Project Manager

Ms. Madden is a Project Manager for EHS. Her environmental experience includes 10 years serving in the capacity as both a regulator and an environmental consultant. Stephanie started her environmental career as a permit writer focusing on air permitting and inspections for a variety of industrial sources with the Regional Air Pollution Control Agency (RAPCA). She was also involved with operating and maintaining the national ambient air monitoring network for RAPCA’s 6 county jurisdiction.
Stephanie also served as Permit and Inspection Supervisor at RAPCA where she assisted & coordinated efforts with major facility permitting, inspection & compliance issues. She was also responsible for the oversight of the permit and inspection group where she managed agency permitting goals and facility inspection commitments. This included review and final approval of all air pollution permit-to-install, permit-to-install and operate, and Title V permitting in RAPCA’s jurisdiction.
Since joining EHS, she has been involved with consulting projects involving air permitting, hazardous waste management, SWP3s, SARA Title III, SPCC Plans, emissions inventories and regulatory applicability analyses for industrial clients in the states of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Alabama, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Georgia, California, North Carolina, Virginia and Texas.
Robert Basl, Vice President

Mr. Basl is one of the founders of EHS Technology Group and has worked for over 25 years as an environmental consultant. Mr. Basl received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Dayton. Over his career he has been involved in numerous projects involving a variety of environmental issues. Currently, his emphasis is on managing facility-wide regulatory compliance projects for a number of industrial clients. These projects include process evaluations of air and water pollution control systems, BACT determinations, hazardous waste management, air pollution emission inventories, SARA Title III compliance, process air/water permitting, compliance auditing and environmental/safety/quality management system implementation.
His experience also includes the design of industrial ventilation systems, with special emphasis on air pollution control projects. In addition, he has acted as a liaison with local, state and federal regulatory agencies in environmental compliance matters. Mr. Basl is a certified lead auditor for several international standards, including ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
Holly Padovani, Project Manager

Ms. Padovani is one of the founders of EHS and a Project Manager with her educational background in environmental engineering, including air, wastewater, groundwater, and hazardous materials pollution. Since joining the firm, she has been involved in a number of projects for various industries. Major industry involvement includes rubber, plastics, vinyl, automotive, printing, building materials, laminate, woodworking, pharmaceutical, welding, and various others. Environmental consulting responsibilities include project management of air pollution projects, water and storm water pollution projects, hazardous waste projects, SARA Title III projects, regulatory negotiations, and multi-media compliance audits. Ms. Padovani is especially familiar with environmental regulations in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. She holds a Bachelor of Science, Environmental Engineering Technology from the University of Dayton.
J. Michael Clinch, Ph.D., Senior Geologist

Dr. Clinch is one of the founders of EHS and an environmental geologist whose primary responsibility is the collection and analysis of geological, hydrogeological and geochemical data in support of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II Environmental Site Investigations, Phase III Remedial Investigations and the conceptual design of soil and ground-water remediation systems. He assists in the design of the scope of work for these investigations, and is the lead field investigator responsible for completing the scope of work and proper collection of the needed data.
Dr. Clinch has also developed long-term ground-water monitoring programs, and is responsible for data management, statistical data analysis and communications with regulatory agencies for these projects. Dr. Clinch has collaborated in the development of the standard operating protocols used by EHS Technology in the collection of field data since 1991. Dr. Clinch was trained as a glacial geologist, and has fifteen years of experience in mapping and studying the distribution, composition, age and origin of unconsolidated deposits in a wide variety of settings. His educational experience includes: Doctorate of Philosophy, Geology, Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science, Environmental Sciences and Resource Management. Dr. Clinch is a registered Professional Geologist in the State of Kentucky.
